BAKER HAMILTON
San Francisco, California
Situated adjacent to the historic Baker Hamilton building in San Francisco’s South of Market district, 625 Townsend was conceived as a speculative office building intended to accommodate the region’s burgeoning high tech market. Part of a larger development, which includes the renovation of the Baker Hamilton Building and a parking garage, 625 Townsend references the ordered brick construction found in the neighborhood through a contemporary expression of concrete structure and facade design, highlighted by a terra cotta panel rainscreen system and aluminum storefront. The result is a building which fits comfortably within its context while providing a stimulating environment for the highly creative and technical businesses inside.
