HOLLY PARK RESIDENCE
San Francisco, California
Like many older homes built in San Francisco, this home in Bernal Heights needed updating in order to meet the needs of contemporary urban living. A family of two nurses and their young son needed a house that would allow for unconventional work schedules, space for growing up, and an open plan that brought family together. The ground floor is split between the garage and a guest suite, which would also be used for rest before the night shift. The main floor of the house is rearranged to unite living and eating spaces, while the attic would be developed into formal bedrooms with a bath.
